When it comes to crafts, I've never been afraid to dive in. I make stuff up as I go and I figure things out without too much issue. I taught myself to sew when I was younger, 15 or 16 maybe. When I think about it now, figuring out how to make little bags and scrub tops for my nurse-mom without GOOGLE? That's pretty impressive. I am impressed with little me.
Anyway, when I was 15 my mom bought me a Brother sewing machine from Ames on clearance. Fast forward to me being 31. My mom bought me another Brother. :) What a difference a new sewing machine makes!
I have been sewing a lot! It's been very satisfying to make a project from start to finish without swearing at my sewing machine every 45 seconds.
